Happy Tails
Do you have a "Happy Tail" you want to share about a pet that you have adopted from us? Send the information and a photograph in an email. We want to share your Happy Tail.
Rocky
I adopted Rocky Roux (formerly Rocky Balboa) in November. He was a fat little 18 pounds of chocolate fur. After the initial greeting, he and his big sis, Puppet hit it off and have been good buddies ever since! He's super quick to learn; he sits, heels and fetches like a champ! I wish house training was as easy! He has grown into a tall, lanky 35 pound love machine with unlimited energy (which is great because big sis is part Greyhound and likes to run). He's just a friendly guy and everybody that meets him just loves him!
We thank you all for all you do for the animals. -- Christi |

Bailey
Bailey here - you might remember me as Clarissa. Oh my goodness, this really is a fun time of the year isn't it? There is snow on the ground which I really like running through, except when it gets really cold and crusty on top and I fall through - that's not fun! We go out in the field next to the house often and I go for a good run around - there are always treats in someone's pocket, so I make sure I run back every now and then and get some.
I have my own bed in the kitchen, which is nice and I rest quite soundly on it, along with the toys I found in the toybox. However, the armchair is so much more fun to curl up and sleep on!
Let it be known that according to my mum, I am not a guard dog by any means of the imagination! Let me explain - I heard something the other evening while crashed out in the living room. I got up, I barked, I walked as far as the couch, voiced my opinion a little more and promptly backed up to where I had been sitting! I was not venturing out into that dark hallway, no way! I did however follow mum when she went that way - I figured I could guard her from behind and be safe at the same time! Doesn't seem like a bad thing to me!.
That's it for now, I just wanted you to know that I was okay, and I wanted to say thank you to all of you for helping give me a second chance. You all did a lot to ensure that I had a good life to live, and in this house, that won't be a problem!
Will write again soon. Paws and kisses. -- Bailey |

Nala
Destiny's new name is Nala. She is having so much fun with the boys. She is a perfect fit for our family...feels like she's been here for a long time. She is very smart and is doing well with her training.
This is the photo that we used for our Christmas card.
Thanks again for bringing Nala into our lives!

Rufus
This picture was taking in front of our house yesterday afternoon.
Rufus has been the hit no matter where he goes and) he is doing well and adjusting to his new home. He is still a bit scared of certain sounds and movements but a great companion. We LOVE him. He was not real keen on the snow we had over the weekend. He seemed to be OK with the soft stuff and actually romped around a bit, but the crunchy stuff he did not like at all. He was actually afraid of the sound it made; therefore, taking our daily walks was a challenge. I bought him a red coat to wear in the rain and colder weather, being from Texas I figured he was not used to the cold weather.
We could not have asked for a better puppy, he's mild, well behaved, and he's not destructive. He has mastered the sit and heel commands and we are really really close on the shake.

Xena
We wanted to let you know that we love and enjoy having Xena in our family. Rocco (our fawn boxer on the left) was so happy to have a new friend come live with us and become a part of our family. Xena is so loving, sweet, and entertaining.
Thank you so much for rescuing Xena and Tyson from animal control because she truly is a blessing to our family. What you do each day does make a difference.
Thank you and God bless.
