Bay Area Pet Adoptions was recently awarded a $1,000 grant from the Petfinder Foundation. This 2020 COVID-19 Operation Grant was awarded to help our shelter provide the necessary ongoing services for our pets during the difficult times that the COVID virus has impacted our and other nonprofit animal shelters.

This Petfinder Foundation grant can be used to provide necessary supplies, food, vaccines, or other items essential to the health and well being of our shelter’s pets. Petfinder’s mission is to prevent the euthanasia of adoptable pets. They help organizations throughout North America increase adoptions, respond to and recover from disaster, and become more sustainable. BAPA will use these funds to provide life-saving heartworm treatment for four of our dogs admitted to the shelter that are in need of this expensive, essential treatment.

BAPA continues to encourage and accept monetary and in-kind donations at its facility in San Leon, Texas. Check out the rest of our website for more information on how to support our no-kill shelter.
